Whoo-hoo a new bar! The Midnight located at 223 S Main Street in Gainesville.
Below is pictures of the short menu.
They also offer a long menu which explains the different types of beer and the history of beer.
Their hours are Monday - Friday 5pm to 2pm , Saturday 6pm to 2 am.
Every night at midnight they have a surprise special. Last Saturday the surprise midnight special was a Tankard of Sweetwater IPA for $3.50.
Weekly specials are:
Monday Trivia 9pm ( Win a bar tab!)
Tankard Tuesday - 25oz Bud Light or Amber Bock $2.50
Wino Wednesday- Buy 1 Get 1 glasses of wine, wine cocktails and homemade sangria
Everyday "Happy Hour" (till 8 pm)- $1.00 off drafts, wine, glasses of wine cocktails, and homemade sangria
I love how the bar is set up....
They have three main sitting areas.
Outdoors- where they have tables and a nice privacy fence which gives you a cozy feeling.
Indoor seating - where you and your friends can grab a table and sit down and chit chat.
And of course the bar, which is located next to the juke box. You can play 3 songs for only a dollar!
They also have these amazing Wine Slushies...which is just what is sounds, I love the lime wine slushies ( say that 3 times fast).
Their draft menu changes, right now on draft they have Sweetwater IPA, Magic Hat, Swamp Head Midnight Stout, Sam Adams seasonal, Bud light, and Amber Bock...I think I might be forgetting a couple.
The best part about the Midnight is the price...they are so much cheaper than the other beer only drinking establishment downtown, and you can buy a pitcher. I think the most expensive pitcher was $9.50.
They also have a great selection of bottled beer, my favorites are St. Peter's Cream Stout, Hoegaarden, Sam Adams Double Bock, and Spaten Optimator. The bottled beers run from $2.00 to $8.85 (Meantime IPA and London Porter are the only $8.85 beers, and they are 25.4 oz). They have over 30 beers that are under $3.00.
I also sampled the home made sangria and it was great.
They have a late night food menu coming soon...right now they just have hot dogs :)
They also have an assortment of board games to play.
Cheers!
I'm still new to this blogging thing and I'm not sure how to upload a pdf, let me know if you would like for me to email you the menu.
