Jeff's New York Deli 6th street

We had breakfast this morning at Jeff's New York Deli (the one off of 6th street) and it was great. It will be in the permanent rotations of where to go for breakfast.

Jeff's Deli is not at all fancy but it is very down earth. Has great food at a good price. I knew I was going to like this place, when the waitress told we could call her by her name Donna, Old Woman, or Grandma. The menu itself is something to laugh at, with the classic New York Style screaming at you.

I had the Challah Stuffed French Toast ( peanut butter and strawberry jelly). It was excellent. The stuffed french toast was perfect. The stuffed french toast was at least 5 inches tall. I hate it when you ordered "stuffed" anything and they are so greedy on the "stuffing". This was definitely not the case here.

Joey had one of the specials which was a Spanish omelet, topped with homemade salsa and sour cream, served with home fries and a fresh biscuit. It was probably a 3 egg omelet and was very light and fluffy. They offered to slice the biscuit and throw it on the grill to give it some extra crispness, how awesome is that?

The entire staff at Jeff's Deli was wonderful and actually friendly. They were actually happy that we came in. Which is a nice welcome, compared to other restaurants where the staff acts like you are bothering them.

The only odd thing about Jeff's is the hours....They are open something like (and don't quote me) 8 to 2 everyday, but only serve dinner a couple nights a weeks.

The prices at Jeff's deli range from $3.25 to $8.00. They serve breakfast all day and a wide selection of deli sandwiches. They have very large servings and they offer half servings.

I think the next time we stop in for breakfast I will be trying the cream cheese and apples stuffed french toast.

Happy Eating!
